Arty Tuesday: NOLA watercolor

I bought this piece at a student art sale in the 1990s. I remember the artist being surprised that I chose this painting because normally she painted in a much more controlled formal style. The looseness and rapidity is what I like about it. Plus as soon as I saw it, I knew it represented the trees in Audubon Park.

Sometimes I stress at how poor these photos are (since you can see reflections in the glass as usual). On the other hand, less likely that I’ll run across these somewhere else on the internet, right?
